Gear skipping and shifting will cause the engine speed to be too low when the two ends are busy, or even cause the engine to stall. So what are the reasons that cause the two ends to be busy?
(1) The transmission mechanism is worn. Both ends adopt a mechanical shift transmission mechanism, which relies on the sliding gear sleeve to move axially on the fixed gear sleeve and mesh with the driven gears on the gears to achieve shifting. In the process of frequent shifting, the tooth end faces of each meshing gear are easy to grind into a cone, resulting in a decrease in meshing performance and "shifting".
(2) Improper adjustment of the transmission device. Manual shifting is used at both ends. If the shift lever, vertical shaft, horizontal shaft, and vertical fixing screws become loose, the transmission can also "jump".
(3) The performance of the self-locking mechanism decreases when the small two ends are busy. In order to prevent "shifting", the box cover hole on the top of the fork shaft and the reverse gear of the excavator's II, III and IVV gears are equipped with steel balls and springs for self-locking functions. When the spring that plays the role of positioning and self-locking is weakened or broken, the self-locking performance of the self-locking mechanism will decrease or disappear, causing the transmission to "jump out of gear." At the same time, if the positioning of the steel ball or the groove on the fork shaft is worn, it will also cause transmission "shift".
